TSRTC to operate 2,427 special services to 40 Shiva shrines during Maha Shivaratri
TSRTC has decided to run 2,427 special buses from February 17 to February 19 on the occasion of Maha Shivratri
HYDERABAD: The Telangana State Road Transport Corporation (TSRTC) has decided to run 2,427 special buses from February 17 to February 19 on the occasion of Maha Shivratri for the convenience of the devotees flocking to the popular Shiva shrines in the various parts of the state.
According to TSRTC, 578 buses will be operated to Srisailam, 481 to Vemulawada, 239 to Keesaragutta, 497 to Edupayala, 108 to Vela, 51 to Kaleswaram, 52 to Komuravelli, 37 to Kondagattu, 16 to Alampur, 15 to Ramappa and 14 to Uma Maheswaram respectively. These special services will be available from MGBS, JBS, Dilsukhnagar, IS Sadan, KPHB, and BHEL in Hyderabad to Srisailam shrine, and the passengers are advised to visit the official website to book the tickets.
TSRTC chairman and MLA Bajireddy Govardhan, and MD VC Sajjanar, in their briefing to the media, said that the TSRTC was taking all measures to ensure that devotees did not face any difficulties on the occasion of Maha Shivratri. "We have issued instructions to the authorities to arrange more special buses according to the demand and request the devotees to make use of these special services and celebrate the festival safely," Sajjanar asserted.
On this occasion, the TSRTC MD Sajjanar recalled the latest decision of extending a 10 percent discount on rented buses during the current wedding season and advised the devotees to make of use the facility.
