HYDERABAD: Even as the killing of four-year-old Pradeep by stray dogs in Amberpet continues to haunt everyone, two more incidents of street dog attacks on young boys were reported from Chaitanyapuri in Hyderabad and Karimnagar. No casualties were reported from both the incidents.
According to reports, a young boy, identified as Rishi, was attacked and bitten by a pack of street dogs in Chaitanyapuri of Hyderabad on Tuesday. The incident happened when the unsuspecting boy was playing outside his house.
With a few bite injuries, he was admitted to a hospital for treatment. Fortunately, he is out of danger. His family however demanded immediate action from the GHMC and evict the menacing street dogs from their locality. The mother of the boy said that the stray dogs were being fed by the locals even though they were posing grave danger to people, especially small children. She demanded that the GHMC teams visit their locality and catch the monstrous street dogs.
In a similar incident, a student of a SC hostel was badly mauled by a pack of stray dogs in Karimnagar. The street dogs reportedly intruded into the Sankarapatnam SC Hostel and pounced on the student, identified as Sumanth. He was rushed to a nearby hospital with serious bite wounds.
