The Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) has encouraged citizens not to leave their homes unless absolutely required
HYDERABAD: Heavy to extremely heavy rains have been pouring in Hyderabad city since Thursday morning, affecting citizens' everyday activities.
Water logging was reported in many low-lying areas in Hyderabad. Most companies asked their staff to work from home due to the city's incessant rains.
The Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) has encouraged citizens not to leave their homes unless absolutely required. They also advised people to avoid using electric police and driving on flooded roads.
Disaster Response Teams (DRF) are placed on the ground, supporting people around the clock across the city. They were at the water stagnation point on Langar House Road, where they monitored catch pits and eliminated them.
