Vijayawada youth dies by suicide in Hyderabad over debts incurred in cricket betting

HYDERABAD: A youth died by suicide by hanging himself at a private hostel under Chikkadpally police station limits in Hyderabad after being distressed over debts incurred in cricket betting during IPL season.

The deceased, identified as Satish Babu (20) hailing from Vijayawada, is studying degree final year at Loyola College there. Satish Babu who incurred huge losses and was trapped in debt in cricket betting during recent IPL matches had come to Hyderabad a month ago in search of a job.

However, Satish Babu went into depression as he was not able to get the way to clear the debts and took the final plunge by hanging himself to death in the private hostel where he was staying.

Upon information, the police reached the spot and examined the body. They informed the family members of Satish about the suicide and registered a case.
