14-yr-old boy falls to death from moving train in Tirupati district

TIRUPATI: A 14-year-old boy was killed following an accidental fall from a moving train near Pakala Junction Railway station in Pakala mandal of Chandragiri Assembly constituency in Tirupati district on Wednesday.

According to Railway police, the deceased, identified as Rahul, was traveling from Hyderabad to Gudipalem along with his grandmother in the Venkatadri Express train. When the train arrived at Pakala Junction Railway station, the young boy woke up and told his grandmother that he was going to wash his face. However, the boy accidentally slipped and fell under the train before being crushed to death.

The Railway Protection Force Sub-Inspector Praveen Kumar reached the spot and shifted the dead body to Chittoor Government Hospital for a post-mortem examination. The police registered a case and started an investigation.
