29-year wife-killer sentenced to lifer in Saroornagar

HYDERABAD: A 29-year-old named Nukam Ramu, on Wednesday was sentenced to life imprisonment by the JB Nagar Court judge for murdering his wife.

According to the complainant registered by the victim's father Tigulla Narayana on January 15 2019, Nukam Ram killed Soni by strangling her with his hands on January 14 2019.

Reportedly, Ramu and Soni, residents of Saroornagar, got married nine years ago and also had three children. Ramu started physically and mentally harassing Soni a few years after their marriage and suspected that she was a woman of ill repute.

LB Nagar Judge Y.Jaya Prasad convicted the accused Nukam Ramu to undergo Life imprisonment and imposed a fine of Rs 5,000.
