3 workers run over by Rajdhani Express in Peddapalli district

PEDDAPALLI: Three persons – a railway employee and two labourers – were killed after being run over by a train near Kothapalli of Peddapalli district on Tuesday.

The mishap occurred when the Rajdhani Express, proceeding towards Hyderabad from New Delhi, hit the trio when they were carrying out repairs to the tracks.

It is learnt that the deceased could not notice the train coming on the track same track they were working due to the deafening noise from a goods train that passed by on the other track.

Durgaiah, the railway employee, hailed from Peddakalvala while daily wage labourers Srinivas and Venu belonged to Sultanabad.
