4 of family killed as tipper truck rams into car in Hanamkonda district

WARANGAL: Four members of a family were killed on the spot while two others were seriously injured after a tipper truck rammed into a car on the Atmakur-Katakshapur road in Hanamkonda district on Sunday.

The deceased were identified as Anumula Narasimha Chari, Veldandi Sambaraju, Veldandi Akanksha and Veldandi Lakshmi Prasanna, belonging to the same failing hailing from Kashibugga in Hanamkonda. They were returning to Hanamkonda in a car after a darshan of Goddess Samakka Saralamma in Medaram when their vehicle met with the ghastly accident.

As the car reached Atmakur, it was hit by the tipper truck at high speed. The impact was so heavy that four of the family members – two men and two women – died instantly. The driver of the car and another person sustained grievous injuries.

The police shifted the injured to MGM hospital in Warangal where the condition of one of them is stated to be critical.
