8 held for trying to sell iPhone13 Pro Max

HYDERABAD:The Cyber Warriors Team of Hyderabad Police arrested eight people in Pune on Thursday, who allegedly posted fake ads on social media about the sale of 'Apple' mobile phones at a discounted price.

Complainant G Pravallika stated that an Instagram account "_ SWITCH ELECTRONICS OFFICIALS" posted ads about a sale on iPhone 13 Max Pro. The complainant transferred an amount of Rs. 68,504 but did not receive the mobile.

The account admin had provided a WhatsApp number and sent fabricated pictures of bills and customer reviews to lure the girl.

The police seized 51 ATM cards, nine SIM cards, two laptops, 30 mobile phones, 26 bank QR codes, cameras and routers.

The police said the accused were involved in multiple fraudulent cases.
