Abids police nab drug peddler, seize 2.8 kg ganja

HYDERABAD: The Commissioner's Task Force, Central Zone team, Hyderabad, together with Abids road Police, nabbed a drug peddler Mustapur Prashanth on Wednesday, who was found in possession of illegal 2.8kg Narcotic Drug.
According to the police, Prashant was apprehended while trying to sell it to desperate consumers in front of the Ramakrishna Theatre Gate, under the jurisdiction of the Abid Road police station. The police seized 2.8kgs of marijuana and a smart phone.
Mustapur Prashant, a 28-year-old Abids resident, was running a Pani Puri business with two shops, one near Taj Mahal Hotel X Road and the other on Bharthi Vidya Bhavan Road. As his business was unable to cover his increasing day-to-day expenses, he devised a scheme to sell the contraband narcotic drug ganja, as there was a greater demand for ganja in Hyderabad.
According to his plans, he obtained Ganja from one individual, Yashwanth aka Goutham, for Rs. 25,000 and decided to sell it for Rs.45,000 per KG. As per his plan, he went to Rama Krishna Theatre Gate on June 6, 2023 at early hours and attempted to sell the above-mentioned Ganja to needy customers.
Meanwhile, based on credible information, the commissioners task force, Central zone team, and Abid Road Police apprehended the Mustapur Prashanth who was in possession of 2.8kgs ganja.
Mustapur Prashanth along with seized Ganja handed was over to SHO Abid Road police station for further action.
