African among 2 drug peddlers arrested, MDMA seized in Hyderabad

HYDERABAD: The sleuths of the Hyderabad Narcotic Enforcement Wing (H-NEW) in coordination with Langer House Police, have apprehended two drug peddlers – a foreigner and an interstate operator – and seized 17 gm of narcotic drug MDMA, two cell phones and Rs 3,000 cash, all worth Rs 2 lakhs.

Reportedly, Anthony Boateng Amihere (50), from Africa, was staying in Bangalore and visiting Hyderabad to meet D Sumanth (30) from Andhra Pradesh and others and was selling drugs. According to the police, six persons, who had purchased drugs from the accused, were identified and investigation was on to find others.

The police appealed to the public to not fall prey to drugs, committing crime and involving in other anti-social activities. They urged the citizens to approach police or pass information to Police on Phone No. 8712661601 to curtail such anti-social activities and strive for a drug free city.
