AIMIM corporator's nephew brutally murdered in Hyderabad

HYDERABAD: A 19-year-old Intermediate student was brutally murdered in broad daylight at the AIMIM Lalitha Bagh division corporator's office by unidentified persons on Monday. The deceased was identified as Syed Murtuza Anas, the nephew of division 36 corporator of AIMIM Mohammed Ali Sharif.

According to reports, the student was repeatedly slashed with a blade by two assailants after they entered the corporator's office. Murtuza suffered a deep cut on his neck during the attack, resulting in extensive bleeding.

The victim was rushed to a private hospital in Kanchanbagh, where doctors declared him dead. P Sai Chaitanya, DCP South Zone, and a team of Bhavani Nagar police officers rushed to the scene.

According to reports, the two suspects were detained in connection with the ghastly murder. A murder case was registered and further investigation was underway. The reason for the attack, however, is still unknown.
