Amberpet man swept away in Godavari River

HYDERABAD: A 28-year-old man from Amberpet, Hyderabad, was swept away in the Godavari river in Bhadradri Kothagudem district. The man, identified as Harish, was bathing in the river with four friends when the incident occurred.

According to police reports, Harish misjudged the river's depth and was carried away by the strong currents. His four companions managed to stay safe.

Authorities have deployed expert divers to search for Harish. The river's water level has risen due to recent rains, complicating the search efforts.
