JAGTIAL: A local ANM (Auxiliary Nurse Midwife) in Jagtial allegedly administered a vaccine to a three-month-old infant while being distracted by a phone conversation. The child’s health deteriorated following the vaccination, leaving the parents in distress.

The infant’s parents reported that they had been visiting hospitals for several days in search of proper treatment for their child, whose condition worsened after the vaccine. Medical professionals at a government hospital performed surgery on the infant to remove pus that had developed as a result of the reaction. However, the child continues to suffer from swelling and pain, despite the procedure.

Due to the ANM’s alleged negligence, the parents have incurred significant expenses at private hospitals. The child’s mother has called for action to be taken against the ANM responsible for the incident.
