Auto driver arrested for burgling Bajaj Electronics store in Medchal

HYDERABAD - The Medchal police on Friday apprehended an autorickshaw driver, who had robbed the Bajaj Electronics showroom located within their police limits. The burglary took place in the early hours of Monday (October 10). Stolen gadgets – 40 expensive smartphones and three laptops – all worth Rs 20,08,787 were recovered from the accused.

As part of the investigation, the police scrutinized footage from CCTV cameras in the neighbourhood. The meticulous verification of the footage helped the police trace the accused. The accused, who incurred heavy debts due to his lavish life, devised the plot to burgle the showroom to wriggle out of the financial mess.

The accused was apprehended at Kistapur on Friday (October 14) during a vehicle check while he was heading towards Hyderabad to sell the stolen electronic gadgets.
