KHAMMAM: An auto-rickshaw driver in Khammam district died by suicide due to financial difficulties and loan pressures.
Amaraboyina Paparao (32), a resident of Choppakatlapalem village in Bonakallu mandal, had purchased an auto-rickshaw a few months ago through a finance scheme. He was required to pay a monthly instalment of Rs 10,000. However, he struggled with repayments as he faced difficulties earning enough from the auto, which led to severe mental distress.
On Friday night around 1 AM, Paparao returned home and got into an argument with his wife. In a fit of distress, he forced his wife and children out of the house. He then used the starting cord of the auto to hang himself.
On receiving information, police reached the spot and began an investigation after registering a case.
