Basar IIIT student dies by suicide, tension on campus

BASAR: A civil engineering student died by suicide at the Rajiv Gandhi University of Knowledge Technologies (RGUKT), popularly known as Basar IIIT, on Tuesday. He was identified as Rathod Suresh studying in E-1 class. He was found hanging from the ceiling of his hostel room.

The police, on being informed, reached the campus and shifted the body to Nirmal Area Hospital. The reason for his extreme step was not yet known. Unconfirmed reports suggested that he was depressed following a failed love affair.

A case was registered and the investigation is in process. The reason behind the extreme decision of the student is still unknown.

Rathod Suresh was a resident of Dichpally in the Nizamabad District. The death of the student caused tension after angry students vented their ire on the police teams and damaged their vehicles.
