Biker dead and pillion injured in a road accident on PVNR Expressway

HYDERABAD: A biker died on the spot and the pillion rider was injured when the bike they were riding hit the road divider on PVNR Expressway, where bike riding was banned. The accident occurred approximately near pillar 152 in Rajendranagar.

The accident occurred on Thursday morning when the riders were going from Mehdipatnam to Aramgarh. According to police the biker might have skidded on the rain soaked expressway, lost control and hit the divider at a high speed.

The accident led to a traffic jam, however, the police upon receiving the information reached the spot and restored traffic. The injured person was shifted to hospital. A case was registered and investigation was underway.
