Bodhan circle inspector arrested for helping ex-BRS MLA's son flee to Dubai
The Punjagutta police have taken two more people into custody for shielding the son of former Bodhan BRS MLA Aamir Shakeel who was involved in an accident in front of Praja Bhavan last month.
HYDERABAD: The Punjagutta police have taken two more people into custody for shielding the son of former Bodhan BRS MLA Aamir Shakeel who was involved in an accident in front of Praja Bhavan last month. The prime suspect is the leader's son Rahil Shakeel who has escaped to Dubai.

On Sunday, the circle inspector of Bodhan Police Station, Prem Kumar and former MLA’s aide Abdul Wasey were arrested by Panjagutta police in connection with the case. Both of them allegedly helped Rahil escape to Dubai after the accident.
Earlier, Panjagutta circle inspector B Durga Rao was suspended for shielding Rahil and implicating another person in the road accident. Durga Rao is presently absconding and teams are making efforts to track him down.
Police had also issued a lookout circular for Rahil, who had left for Dubai via Mumbai to be with his father on December 24, 2024 hours after ramming the BMW car into the barricades in front of the Praja Bhavan, the official residence of the Telangana Deputy Chief Minister.
No one was injured but the barricade and the front portion of the car were damaged in the incident. The person driving the car and three others travelling with him escaped leaving behind the car. So far, the police had arrested six persons in the case while Aamir Shakeel is cited as a suspect and absconding.
