HYDERABAD: A bomb threat email prompted an emergency halt of an Indigo flight at Shamshabad’s Rajiv Gandhi International Airport on Thursday. The flight, en route from Coimbatore to Chennai via Hyderabad, was immediately grounded after authorities received the threat.

Security teams conducted a detailed inspection of the aircraft, which lasted for six hours. After an extensive search, officials confirmed that no explosives were found, allowing operations to resume.

The situation caused brief panic at the airport, but passengers and crew were safely evacuated, and officials breathed a sigh of relief after determining the threat was a false alarm. Authorities are now investigating the origin of the bomb threat email.
