Car catches fire, security guard burnt to death in Hyderabad

HYDERABAD: A security guard working at a garage was burnt to death after a fire broke out in a car at King Koti in Hyderabad in the early hours of Saturday. The deceased was sleeping inside the car when the vehicle caught fire. As the fire spread across the car rapidly, the security guard was trapped inside and was charred to death.

According to Abids Inspector Prasad, the fire broke out in the car at the mechanic's shed located in Koti early Saturday morning. Two cars were completely gutted in the mishap while three other cars were partially damaged by the fire.

Alerted by the Kamineni Hospital staff, the police plunged into action and brought the fire under control. Full details of the incident are yet to be known.
