HYDERABAD: Choreographer Jani Master has been sent to judicial custody for 14 days by the Upparpally court in a sexual harassment case filed by a dancer.

The court's order came after Jani Master was arrested by the Cyberabad police in Goa and brought to Hyderabad. He will remain in judicial custody in Chanchalguda Central Prison until October 3.

Jani Master faces charges under IPC Sections 376 (rape), 506 (criminal intimidation), and 323(2), along with the POCSO Act. Despite his claims of innocence and allegations of a conspiracy against him, the court rejected his initial defense. He has reportedly approached the Rangareddy court for bail.

The dancer accused Jani Master of sexual assault, claiming that he forced himself on her during a shoot inside a caravan and pressured her to fulfill his sexual demands, threatening to block her career opportunities if she refused. The police have recorded the victim's statement and conducted medical examinations as part of the investigation.

In his defense, Jani Master stated that he was being falsely implicated and vowed to fight the case legally. He also warned that those behind the allegations would face consequences.
