Peddapalli ACP G Krishna shared details of the case with the media on Thursday, revealing that a group of individuals had been apprehended while attempting another theft at the same location.

The initial incident occurred on the night of September 24, when unidentified individuals broke into the transformer repair centre by cutting the window grills at the back. They managed to steal 300 kilograms of copper wire. Following a complaint by the shop owner, G. Narender Reddy, police registered a case and launched an investigation.

Early Thursday morning, the thieves returned to the centre for a second attempt but were caught by the police. The arrested individuals include Pittala Surender, Siliveru Shankarayya, Goshika Karthik, Kadamanda Srikanth, all from Mancherial district, as well as Pasupuleti Srinivas from Bellampalli, who had purchased the stolen copper wire. However, two key suspects, Gurrala Chinna Bhumaiah and Ramu from Hyderabad, are still at large, according to ACP G. Krishna.

The police recovered copper wire worth Rs 2.50 lakh and seized a motorcycle from the arrested suspects. In recognition of the successful resolution of the case, the officers involved were awarded cash rewards for their efforts. The investigation is ongoing as police continue to search for the remaining suspects.
