Cyberabad cops nab chain-snatchers

HYDERABAD: The sleuths of Cyberabad police from Madhapur Zone have apprehended two men, on Thursday, for committing a a chain snatching offences on July 25. The offenders also attacked a police constable who was currently being treated at AIG hospital.
Reportedly, on July 25, Niranjan Neelamnalli (21) and Rahul (19), along with a minor, snatched gold ornaments from three women who were walking on road. They snatched two more chains on July 26 at Miyapur.
During the search operation, Head Constable Yadaiah was attacked by Niranjan. He stabbed the HC with a knife in the chest, stomach, back side of his body and left hand. However, HC Yadaiah caught the accused and took him into custody.
The police seized two guns, 15 bullets, two mobile phones, one motor bike, two knives and three gold chains, weighing about 47 gm.
