HYDERABAD: A highly decomposed body of a youth – suspected to have been murdered – was found by the locals on the outskirts of Kuntloor village under the Hayathnagar Police Station limits in Ranga Reddy district on Monday.
Disturbed by foul smell, the locals searched in the area and found the highly decomposed body lying in a vacant land. They immediately alerted the Hayathnagar Police. Upon receiving the information about the incident, Vanasthalipuram ACP Purushottam Reddy and Hayathnagar Circle Inspector Venkateswarlu rushed to the crime spot and registered a case of murder.
The police later identified the deceased as K Rajesh (25), a native of Mulugu district. As part of their preliminary investigation, the police were probing whether the deceased had any love affair which might have led to the murder.
According to the details furnished by Rajesh’s friend, the victim had come to Hyderabad a week ago and stayed at his house for two days. Later he left for Ibrahimpatnam. Rajesh, who was in Ibrahimpatnam for two more days, called up his friend and sought money to leave for his village in the Mulugu district. Since then, Rajesh was untraceable even as his mobile phone remained switched off.
