Drugs worth Rs 25 lakh seized in Hyderabad, four arrested in police raids
Police and H-NEW apprehend four in Hyderabad with 50 grams of MDMA; pub raided for illegal corporate events.
HYDERABAD: In a major anti-drug operation, Hyderabad police, in collaboration with H-NEW (Hyderabad Narcotics Enforcement Wing), seized a large quantity of drugs and arrested four individuals.
The raid, conducted in Humayun Nagar, led to the seizure of 50 grams of MDMA valued at approximately Rs 25 lakh. Among those apprehended were a foreign national and three locals suspected of drug peddling activities.
Separately, authorities conducted a raid on Tequila Pub in the Bachupally area, where illegal corporate events were reportedly being held without proper permissions. During the raid, police confiscated music equipment and two laptops from the premises. A case has been registered against the pub’s management, and further investigation is underway.
