Drunk driver hits car, injures six-year-old girl in Kukatpally

HYDERABAD: A six-year-old girl sustained injuries in Kukatpally after a speeding car, driven by an allegedly intoxicated driver, collided with the vehicle she was travelling in.

The incident occurred near Abhi Tiffin Centre in Vivekananda Nagar around 12:30 am on Saturday.

Rugved and his wife and children were returning to Kukatpally from Warangal when their car was hit from behind by another vehicle travelling at high speed. The impact caused minor injuries to Rugved's daughter. The accused, identified as Anand (35), attempted to flee the scene but was chased and apprehended by residents, who handed him over to the police.

The police have registered a case against Anand based on a complaint filed by Rugved's family. Further investigation is underway to determine the complete circumstances of the incident and to take appropriate legal action.
