ED summons Hyderabad rowdy sheeter to probe into excess assets
This marks the first of its kind in the history of Hyderabad that the ED has issued summons to a rowdy sheeter and asked him to attend before them today.
HYDERABAD: The Enforcement Directorate has reportedly issued summons to a notorious gangster and rowdy sheeter in the old city of Hyderabad on the pretext of amassing assets worth over Rs 1,000 crore upon the information from local police who were shocked by the way the rowdy sheeter excelled from a pickpocketer and amassed crores.
This marks the first of its kind in the history of Hyderabad that the ED has issued summons to a rowdy sheeter and asked him to attend before them today.
It is reported that the gangster has reached out to several politicians and is in talks with lawyers to find a way out of the situation. The rowdy sheeters and gangsters in the old city of Hyderabad are now worried about receiving similar summons.
Furthermore, the leaders of various political parties and the police, who have allegedly connived with the gangster, fear that their involvement may be exposed during the ED investigation.
Consequently, some rowdy sheeters and gangsters in Hyderabad are considering relocating to evade potential scrutiny.
