Fake engineering certificate racket busted, gang arrested

HYDERABAD: The Hyderabad police on Thursday busted a fake engineering certificate racket and arrested a gang allegedly involved in this.

The gang has been reportedly creating fake Osmania University certificates and selling them to the students for a premium. Acting on a tipoff, the Rachakonda Police raided the hideouts of the gang and seized many fake certificates from their possession.

The details of the arrested persons were not immediately known. The accused were being interrogated to elicit more information like how big was the network of the fake certificate racket and how many others are involved in it. The police are also trying to find out if any university insiders were also involved in the offence.
