Family of five attempts suicide due to financial crisis in Hyderabad  

HYDERABAD: Five members of a family attempted suicide due to severe financial problems in Kodandaram Nagar of Hyderabad.

The family, consisting of V Venkateswara Prasad, his wife Latha, and their three sons, consumed pesticide on Monday in an effort to end their lives. On receiving information, officials of Saroor Nagar police station rushed to the scene. They shifted the entire family to Osmania General Hospital for medical treatment, where they are currently receiving care.

The police have registered a case and begun an investigation into the circumstances that led to the attempt. Authorities are also looking into the financial issues that caused this desperate act, with neighbours indicating that the family was struggling with mounting debts.
