Father-son duo arrested for supplying drugs in Rachakonda

HYDERABAD: In a significant breakthrough, the Maheshwaram Zone SOT and Balapur Police conducted a joint operation in the Rachakonda PS limits of Rangareddy district, leading to the arrest of a father and son involved in a drugs case. The duo, identified as Hanif and his son Siddiq, were supplying drugs in a manner reminiscent of movie plots.

Hanif, who had previously been arrested in Mumbai for a drugs case, was found to be working with his son Siddiq to transport drugs from Madhya Pradesh and Mumbai to Hyderabad. They used private buses to reach the city and then distributed the drugs through local contacts.

During the operation, the police seized 100 grams of heroin from the accused, which is estimated to be worth Rs 12 lakhs, according to Rachakonda Commissioner of Police Sudheer Babu.
