CHITTOOR: Fear has spread across the border districts of Andhra Pradesh and Karnataka as a series of elephant attacks continue to terrorise local villagers. In the most recent incident, an elephant killed a resident in Chittoor district on Wednesday night.

According to local reports, a lone elephant attacked and killed a man named Reddyanaik in the PMK Thanda area of Ramakuppam, Chittoor. This follows a similar attack 15 days ago, where another villager was trampled to death by a group of elephants.

After receiving information, forest officials and police rushed to the scene with support teams. The victim's body was sent to the hospital for post-mortem. Authorities have urged residents living near forest areas to remain vigilant as efforts continue to manage the wildlife conflict.

The situation has made nearby village residents anxious, with many fearing further attacks as elephants roam near their homes.
