HYDERABAD: A tragic road accident occurred near Jawaharnagar dumping yard when a man lost control of his scooter after hitting water-filled potholes and was subsequently struck by a speeding DCM truck. The victim, identified as Amarender (55), husband of a former MPTC from Thimmaipalli, died on the spot.

Amarender’s family alleged that the accident happened due to the poor condition of the road and water leakage from the dumping yard, which led to the fatal fall. In protest, they gathered at the dumping yard with the body, demanding accountability for the unsafe road conditions. The family also vandalised the premises and confronted local Tahsildar Sucharitha, insisting that they would not move the body until the Collector and Mayor addressed the issue.

The protest led to a major traffic jam in the area. Police arrived at the scene, registered a case, and began an investigation.
