ADILABAD: Four farmers from Bazar Hatnur mandal in Adilabad district were booked by the police for participating in a protest demanding a promised crop loan waiver. To express their grievances, the farmers staged a mock funeral and burned an effigy of Chief Minister Revanth Reddy.
This incident follows a similar case in which 11 farmers from Ruyyadi village in Talamadugu Mandal were booked for protesting the government's failure to fulfill its promise of waiving crop loans.
