HYDERABAD: Police have arrested a gang involved in property registration using fake documents in Subhash Nagar, Jeedimetla, Medchal district.

Acting on a tip-off, the Jeedimetla police station team apprehended six individuals who were allegedly creating fraudulent documents, including fake death certificates, Aadhaar cards, and PAN cards, to facilitate illegal property registrations.

The accused were reportedly engaged in creating fake documents for properties, including a 200-square-yard plot in Subhash Nagar, a 1000-square-yard site in Jubilee Hills, and land in Vizag and Hayathnagar. Authorities seized equipment used for this illegal activity, including scanners, iris retina machines, laptops, fake documents, and four mobile phones.

The arrested individuals have been remanded to custody, and a formal investigation has been launched to determine the extent of their operations and identify potential victims.
