Gang of five arrested for recent robberies in Hyderabad
In a joint operation, the Commissioner's Task Force and Central and North Zone teams apprehended five persons for their alleged involvement in robbery and dacoity
HYDERABAD: In a joint operation, the Commissioner's Task Force and Central and North Zone teams on Wednesday apprehended five persons for their alleged involvement in several cases of robbery and dacoity within various city police station limits. Robbed property worth around Rs 88 lakhs was recovered from their possession.
The five accused are identified as Syed Hussain, SK Saleem, Awaru Bala Krishna, Mohd Ahaduddin and Syed Mubashir Hussain. They have several robbery cases registered against them within the limits of Saifabad, Jubilee Hills, Narayanaguda and Mahankali police stations.
On October 3, 2022, the gang allegedly robbed a person carrying bulk jewelry at the Basheerbagh flyover. In another incident on November 24, 2022, they snatched a bag containing a diamond necklace in Himayat Nagar after sprinkling chilli powder on the face of the victim. The gang also attacked another victim and robbed gold and diamond jewellery on December 5, 2022. The accused slashed the hand of the victim with a blade before fleeing with the jewellery at RP road.
