Ganja addict grows cannabis at home in Vanasthalipuram, arrested

HYDERABAD: The LB Nagar Zone Special Operation Team (SOT) arrested a man for cultivating ganja (cannabis) at his home in Vanasthalipuram under Rachakonda Police Commissionerate limits.

The SOT, which received information that cannabis was being cultivated at a house belonging to Sai Revanth Varma in Vanasthalipuram, conducted search operations and found that the accused was growing cannabis on the terrace.

The police, who identified that Sai Revanth was addicted to ganja, found that the latter had brought the seeds from neighbouring Andhra Pradesh to cultivate trees at his house for his consumption. They seized cannabis seeds and wrappers from his possession.

The accused was booked under NDPS Act and was remanded.
