HYDERABAD: An incident in which a goldsmith fled with gold ornaments worth Rs. 83 lakhs in Narayanaguda of Hyderabad has come to light late on Saturday.
Anand Kumar, owner of Shree Yash Jewellers in Basheerbagh, handed over the gold worth around Rs 1 crore to goldsmith Ganesh Chandra Das asking him to make jewellery.
However, Ganesh Chandra Das, without returning the gold jewellery to Anand, had passed the days and reportedly fled the city when the latter went to the goldsmith’s shop to inquire about his gold.
Anand Kumar complained to the police who registered a case and are investigating by forming a special team.
