Grief-stricken woman dies by suicide after husband, sons drown in Eluru

ELURU: A tragic series of events has claimed an entire family in Pedavegi Mandal’s Kavvakunta village, Eluru district.

Venkateshwar Rao (45) and his two sons, Manikantha (15) and Sai Kumar (13), drowned while trying to teach a rooster to swim in a canal. The shocking accident left the family devastated.

Unable to cope with the sudden loss of her husband and sons, Devi (36), the wife and mother of the victims, was consumed by overwhelming grief. She had been struggling with severe emotional distress since the tragic deaths.

On Friday morning, while alone at home, Devi took her own life by hanging herself with a saree from an iron rod in the bathroom. Her death has plunged the village into deep sorrow, marking the heartbreaking conclusion of a family tragedy.
