Home alone, woman raped in Banjara Hills

HYDERABAD: A woman was allegedly raped recently under the Bajara Hills police limits. A complaint was lodged to this effect at the Banjara Hills police station.

The incident reportedly happened on August 4 but came to light on August 5 after the victim messaged her friends and informed them about the heinous act committed on her. The victim was alleged raped by a youngster when she was alone in her house. She was also threatened with death if she revealed the incident to anyone.

A case of rape was registered based on a complaint lodged by the victim's sister. It is not clear as yet if the accused was a stranger or an acquaintance of the victim. Full details of the case are awaited.
