Husband murders wife in Karimnagar at I-Day celebrations

KARIMNAGAR: In a tragic incident, a husband stabbed his 30-year-old wife on Monday in Karimnagar's Chigurumamidi mandal. Kanakam Sirisha used to work at an Anganwadi centre in the Chigurumamidi mandal and was stabbed with a knife by her husband, Praveen, during Independence Day celebrations. Praveen and Sirisha have two children.

Praveen, the accused, and his wife Shirisha seem to have been in conflict for the past few days. Praveen was accused by the locals and villages of carrying out this horrific murder as a result of the quarrel between the husband and wife.

The local police launched a probe after filing a case.
