Hyderabad woman raped in Guwahati

HYDERABAD: A woman hailing from Hyderabad was allegedly raped multiple times in the Assamese capital of Guwahati. The accused, identified as Sudhir Chowdary, a music artiste, has allegedly been outraging the modesty of the victim.

According to some reports, the woman, an interior designer by profession, is working in Guwahati and has been living as a paying guest at Hatigaov.

In a complaint lodged with the Baralumur police of Guwahati, the victim alleged that she met Sudhir Chowdary at a yoga centre. She claimed that Sudhir had kept her illegally confined to a room and committed the heinous crime on her several times. What's more, he even plotted to eliminate her.

Sensing danger, the woman said in her complaint that she escaped from his clutches by breaking the doors of the window open.

The Baralumur police, after registering a case, have launched a manhunt for Sudhir Chowdary who is currently missing. The victim's parents are said to be residing in Hyderabad.
