HYDERABAD, The South Zone Task Force of Hyderabad, in coordination with Bandlaguda Police, conducted a raid on an illegal mujra party at Lake View Hills, Ghouse Nagar, Bandlaguda, during the intervening night of 28th and 29th September. The raid led to the arrest of 12 individuals, including four transgender dancers. Police also seized an amplifier and a loudspeaker as part of the operation.

The raid was conducted based on credible information regarding the illegal gathering. Upon inspection, eight men and four transgender dancers were found participating in obscene dances, playing loud music, and creating a public nuisance. The organiser of the event, identified as Hameed from Bandlaguda, managed to flee and remains absconding.

The apprehended individuals were taken to Bandlaguda Police Station, where a case was registered under Crime Number 337/2024. Charges were pressed under Sections 223 and 292, along with 3(5) of the BNS Act and Section 21/76 of the City Police Act. Authorities have stated that further investigation is ongoing.

Inspector S Raghavendra supervised the operation, which was assisted by Sub-Inspectors N. Naveen and K. Narsimulu, along with personnel from the Task Force and Bandlaguda Police.
