Intermediate student from Narayana College dies of suicide in hostel
Anusha, an intermediate student, was found dead after returning to her college hostel from Dasara holidays.
HYDERABAD: Anusha, a first-year intermediate student at Narayana College, Bachupally, reportedly committed suicide in her hostel room after returning from the Dasara holidays. Anusha had been dropped off at the hostel by her parents, who left for home shortly after.
College authorities informed Anusha's parents that she had lost consciousness soon after their departure. By the time her parents returned to the college, Anusha had allegedly taken her own life. She was then rushed to Gandhi Hospital by the college staff and Bachupally police.
According to her parents, Anusha had previously complained about being harassed by some members of the college staff. They believe this harassment is what led to her suicide. In response to the incident, her parents staged a protest in front of the college, holding the institution responsible for her death.
Further investigations are underway as the family continues to demand justice.
