Jilted by lover, youth dies by suicide in Rajendra Nagar

HYDERABAD: A youth committed suicide by hanging himself from a ceiling fan in Ranga Reddy district, depressed by the news of his lover getting married to someone else. The tragic incident happened in Rajendra Nagar.

According to reports, Praveen, a native of Chowdapur village in Vikarabad district, lost both his parents at a very young age. Being raised by his relatives, he got acquainted with a girl and fell deeply in love with her. However, he received the bolt from the blue when he came to know that the girl had chosen to marry someone else.

Feeling cheated and depressed, Praveen ended his life after leaving a suicide note and taking a selfie video of him dying by suicide. Praveen, in his suicide message, also demanded action against the girl, her fiancé and her friends for cheating him.

The Rajendra Nagar police registered a case and were investigating. Relatives expressed deep shock over the death of Praveen as the latter had even qualified for the Constable examination and was one step away from getting a police job.
