Man gets three years in jail for attempting rape in Ramannapet

HYDERABAD: A man belonging to Ramannapet of Yadadri Bhuvanagiri district was convicted of attempting to rape a woman of the same village on March 12 2014. Ramannapet Court Judge sentenced him to three years imprisonment and fined Rs 4,000.

According to the complainant, Mellapaka Narasimha entered her house forcefully on March 10 2014 around midnight when her husband was out in the fields. When he tried to undress the victim, she escaped from him and locked herself in another room. She also stated in her complaint that Narasimha threatened to kill her and her husband too.

Eight years after the incident, 45-year-old Mellapaka Narasimha was on Wednesday sentenced to three years imprisonment.
