Man steals Rs 40,000 from patient's attendant in Gandhi Hospital, arrested
Mohammad Kareem was reportedly in the same medical ward as his brother-in-law as he was getting treatment at Gandhi Hospital.
HYDERABAD: The Chilkalguda police arrested a burglar on Monday and found Rs. 40,000 in cash on him. According to Chilkalguda police, the accused, Mohammed Kareem, stole one bundle from the cash the complainant gave to a patient's attendant in Gandhi Hospital.
Macha Ramulu, 40, informed the police in writing on Saturday that his son Praveen Kumar had been admitted to Gandhi Hospital's IMC Ward third floor for medical treatment.
According to the police, the complainant gave his sister Manga Rs 90,000 in cash bundles and went to sleep outside in the hall room because she was next to his son Praveen Kumar. The complainant discovered one bundle containing Rs. 40,000 was missing when he opened the cash bag at 6 a.m. on Sunday. He immediately asked all of the staff members and patient attendants, but in vain. Hence, he complained to Chilkalguda police station to take the appropriate legal action.
Mohammad Kareem was reportedly in the same medical ward as his brother-in-law as he was getting treatment at Gandhi Hospital. When Kareem learned that the complainant's sister had money, he stole Rs 40,000.
The police arrested Mohammed Kareem, 35, from the emergency ward of Gandhi Hospital Secunderabad on Monday and seized Rs 40,000. A case was filed with PS Chilkalguda in Hyderabad under Section 380 of the IPC.
The arrest was made by G. Naresh, SHO, K. Nageswara Rao, DI, and N. Sai Krishna, along with crime staff of Chilkalguda Police Station under the supervision of N. Sudhir, ACP Gopalapuram.
