Minor boy sets himself on fire after father scolds, condition critical

HYDERABAD: A minor boy attempted suicide by setting himself on fire after allegedly being scolded by his father in Rajendranagar police station limits in Ranga Reddy district. The incident has caused a stir in the area.

The police said the boy poured the kerosene on himself and set ablaze following the scolding by his father over the reasons unknown. The parents who noticed the minor in a blaze rushed him to the hospital for treatment. However, the condition of the victim is critical.

The police have registered a case and investigating it further.
