MACHILIPATNAM: A minor girl, who hailed from Machilipatnam of Krishna district, was injected with an unknown drug by anonymous people while she was on her way back home from tuition on Thursday night.
Reportedly, a class 10 girl (15), who studied in George Coronation High school in Machilipatnam, was going home from tuition, which was near Velluri Raja Centre, at 8:30 pm on Thursday, when a group of people injected something in her back. She immediately fainted, grabbing the attention of locals. The girl was taken to a government hospital where she is currently being treated.
The anonymous people ran away as soon as she fainted. The police registered a case and were looking for further information. It was unclear as to the motive behind this attack. The police suspected that it could be either an attempt to murder or a kidnap attempt.
Her blood samples were sent to the lab, where they were investigating the type of drug that was injected in her body.
Parents of the girl said that the reason behind this incident was the lack of police vigilance. They said that such incidents were on the rise in the area due.
