Missing toddler found dead in drain in Nizamabad
A two-year-old girl, Anu, was found dead in a drain after going missing while playing outside her home.

NIZAMABAD: A two-year-old girl who went missing while playing outside her home in Nizamabad on Wednesday was found dead in a drain on Thursday.
The body of toddler Anu was recovered by disaster management and municipal staff from a canal in Anand Nagar Colony. The family was devastated upon seeing the child's body. Municipal Corporation Commissioner Makarand stated that rescue operations continued for nearly 12 hours.
A large dirty drain flows in front of the residential houses near the forest office on Varni Road. The toddler, who lived in the area, disappeared on Wednesday evening while playing outside. After finishing her chores, her mother searched for her but could not find her. Realising that the child might have fallen into the overflowing drain due to recent heavy rains, she alerted the neighbours.
Disaster management and municipal staff conducted a search operation, and Anu's body was found on Thursday, leaving many in tears.
